Alumni Banquet Survey

The 2009 Alumni Banquet was such a great success with the Hawaiian Luau that we asked the Alums about next year. The answer was a resounding YES, do it again and keep the dress casual. One preliminary idea at the banquet was to have a “Western” theme for next year. What do you think? To get your ideas, we have created a quick and easy survey for you. It’s only five (5) questions and only takes a minute. Would you help us make the banquet a fun and memorable experience for you in 2010? Just click on the link below for the survey. Thanks for your time and your ideas. We hope to see you next June at the banquet.

Monty Albert Cummings
Monty Albert Cummings, Class of 1972, 55, of Ashville, lost his courageous battle with cancer Tuesday, December 22, 2009. If you had the privilege to know Monty you would know he had a great passion for love and life. Even though his time with us was way to short, he achieved many great accomplishments. The most important was his family. He was born July 23, 1954 in Alliance, Ohio, son of the late Lloyd and Harriett (Tanner) Cummings. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cathy (Crosby) Cummings; brothers, Tom (Rene) Cummings, David Cummings, Lionel Cummings; and sister, Terri (John) Blain; his children, JoEllen (John) Arterberry, Amy Rayburn and Jeremiah Rayburn; his beautiful grandchildren include, Reese and Riggs Arterberry, Morgan Griffey, Gavin and Keally McCollister, Kearsten and Isabella Rayburn. Also surviving are his father-in-law, Verman "Skeeter" Crosby; and special friends, Mike and Ellen Havens. He also achieved great success in his professional life. He was a proud employee of Worthington Industries for over 37 years. He was well liked and respected and will be missed by his Worthington family. He was an avid golfer and dedicated Buckeye Fan. Monty was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed by all of us.
